Assuming you are talking about a 2007 or 2008 there is a set screw under the bar that must be loosened. Unfortunately i found that the factory mounting positions for the cross bars are too close together to fit my snowboard in the rack very well. It came with the factory roof rack cross bars which i wanted so i could mount my ski rack attachments. Prior to 2007 the bars which are bolted into the roof are not adjustable.
