Homemade Metal Roof Cleaner

Mix water and mild detergent for stubborn areas.

Homemade metal roof cleaner. Dip a soft brush or rag in the cleanser and apply to affected areas. Lightly scrub the surface until the area is free of mildew or mold. 1 8 cup to kill the roots of the moss so you would not have to scrub the roof but simply rinse with a hose. 1 4 cup of lemon juice.

Spray the mirrors and windows and wipe clean. For any areas that don t wash away with pressurized water fill a bucket or other container with water. Use a cloth or sponge to clean. 4 cups of warm water.

If water alone isn t enough to remove common dirt and debris mix 1 4 cup detergent including mild laundry detergents car washing soap mild dish soap per gallon of water. Rinse the surface well with plain water. Apply the solution to the roof surface using washcloth sponge a soft bristle brush and or non abrasive pad. For every part water combine 0 05 part mild dish or laundry detergent.

But when water alone won t cut it try mixing 1 4 cup detergent including mild laundry detergents car washing soap mild dish soap per gallon of water. 1 2 cup of rubbing alcohol. 1 3 cup of powdered laundry detergent 1 quart of bleach 5 solution 3 quarts of water. To make this natural cleaner for a car windshield or for the windows in your rv mix the ingredients and pour the solution into a spray bottle.

Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
